Meet the Teacher for New Students

New families are welcome to bring their child(ren) this day, either between 9:00 - 11:00 am, or 1:00 - 3:00 pm, to meet the Teachers and see the classroom.  Children MUST stay with their families during this visit.

Parent Orientation/Information Evening

This is for both new and returning families to gain information about the Montessori Method and Developmentally Appropriate Practices. It is scheduled from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Locker Room of our School. This is an information evening to learn about Montessori Philosophy, as well as our School's Program. This evening is for parents only.

First Day of Classes

This is our first day of classes for both AM and PM students. Parents are welcome to stay with their child, to ease their transition, if they feel it is in the best interest of their child. We do ask that if you are staying with your child, to please limit your first day to 1 hour, and to have only one adult stay with your child, due to limited space in our classroom. If you feel your child does not need a parent to stay with them for this first day, then you are welcome to leave them for the full class.

Our Teachers may also recommend a Phasing In Period, depending on your child’s comfort levels. For more information on Phasing In Periods, please refer to our “Starting the School Year: Tips and Info for Families”, or speak to any of our Teachers

For more information, or advice regarding your child's first day, please speak with our Teachers any time.
